Pick a product to sell that you know about or are interested about. To be successful on eBay you have to continue to research and find new products to sell that no one knows about yet. If you pick something you like already than you are more likely to research that product.
Don't make any assumptions about your product. Do your research before listing on eBay and spending the insertion charge. If it didn't sell in the past, it probably won't sell now. However, if you can offer it for less money or have a niche of buyers that purchase from you, than go for it. Just take your time and don't spend a bunch of money on listing fees all at once.
Listing one or two of the same products at a time will make buyers think that it is in limited supply. Listing too many products at once will make the buyer think they can purchase it anytime they want. Then they forget the product is available.
